During April 27-30, 2021, COERR Mae Hong Son organized Disaster Risk Reduction and First Aid at Ban Mae Surin Temporary Shelter in Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province. There were 210 youth of 141 females and 69 males attending.

   The contents of the training included basic disaster risk reduction; fire hazard; elements of a fire triangle i.e. oxygen, heat, fuel; causes of fire; material that caused fire such as fire caused by fuel burning; fire caused by material like dry wood; fire caused by gas leak; types of fire extinguishers used for different classes of fire, such as solid materials, liquid and fuel, gas, which had different operating system.

   Additional topics included first aid for the injured persons in response to disaster, first aid to prevent the situation worsening and promote recovery; emergency care and transportation of the injured to hospital for further treatment such as caring for bone injury and skin cuts, stopping of bleeding and doing a wound dressing, first aid for snake bite, the drowning, etc.
